Plain door for Valentines here is how to fix it!

So after going through our valentines decor, I realized we really don’t have much. Last year I created our wing heart decor for our front door and I loved it. I figured this year our front door needed a little bit more pizazz. Looking at Christmas pictures on Pinterest last month I kept seeing the cute decor around the door I thought I could do something cute for our door for valentines. So here it is.

This is a simple build. I bought a few things from the dollar store and order hearts from Amazon. Attached below are the items I purchase and attached are affiliate links. Keep in mind when you buy from one of my affiliate links I get a small commission at no cost to you. It also helps support my blog.

What you will need

  1. hearts
  2. red and pink paint, paintbrush, water etc.
  3. nautical rope
  4. ribbon
  5. hot glue
  6. small string

How you make the valentines heart decor

First

You will want to paint your hearts. I used pink, red, and white paint to paint my hearts.

Second

You will want to cut the nautical rope to fit around the door. It helped using an inside door to hold the rope up.

Third

Hot glue small pieces of string to the backs of the hearts so you can tie them on the nautical rope. Then you will want to space out the hearts on the rope.

Fourth

Cut and tie the ribbon on the nautical rope. I filled in all the spaces between the hearts.

Fifth

Now you can put some nails around your door frame and attach the decorated rope around the door.

Final look of the valentines door decor

I love how this turned out. It gave our door a little bit more
